About Me . . .
I received my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education with a minor in psychology in 1991 from Edinboro University of PA. In 1996 I received my master's degree in reading from the State University of New York at Potsdam. I have also received my certificate in English as a Second Language and taken numerous trainings in teaching students with autism, emotional issues, and learning disabilities.
I have taught for 30 years now. My first teaching position was in a small school district in northern New York where I was the only special education teacher for the district. After five years there I moved to Chestnut Ridge School District to be closer to my family. While at Chestnut Ridge, I have taught students in preschool through 12th grade, and I have worked with students who received learning support services, emotional support services, autistic support services and English as a Second Language.
Please feel to reach out to me. It is easiest to reach me through email, however, as I travel between the middle school and high school.
