Mr. Jonathan Kirk

Hello!  

I am so elated to be working as the 7th grade English Language Arts teacher at Chestnut Ridge Middle School.  I am a 2021 graduate from Saint Francis University with a degree in Middle Level English Education and minor certificates in Literature, Fine Arts--concentrating in Theatrical and Choral performance--, Music Wellness and Life Design, and Arts and Letters.  As a published author, I apply my passion for writing to all of my teaching practices and lessons.  

7th grade at CRMS serves as the transition year to high school.  Thus, through exploration of several thematic units, your child will compose a variety of writing projects throughout the year that will strengthen writing skills and knowledge of grammatical content in preparation for the rigor of content area and career writing.
