Chestnut Ridge Middle Academic Spotlight

Students in Mrs. Danielle Callihan's math enrichment WIN period have been taught how to do the calculations to keep our hydroponics unit working at full efficiency with daily water testing of both nutrients and pH. They have begun germinating our first round of plants which include butterhead and romaine lettuces. They have placed the pelleted seeds in rockwool and will be testing the water daily, adding nutrients as needed, and using the treated water to hydrate the seeds as they germinate. They hop to have enough growth before the end of the week to transplant them into the hydroponics unit where they will continue to grow for approximately 28 days, and then will be harvested. National School Lunch Week, October 14th-18th

In celebration of National School Lunch Week, the middle school cafeteria will be holding giveaways for each student that purchases a Lunch next week, October 14th-18th. In order to be entered, students simply need to purchase a full lunch and they will receive a ticket, students will need to put their name and grade on that ticket and place it in the designated box in the cafeteria. Daily drawings will be done for Ala Carte Items and a Grand Prize of a $25 gift card at the end of the week!

Spring Band Concert May 9th

Dear Chestnut Ridge School District community,

We are thrilled to invite you to our Spring concert, marking the crescendo of a fantastic school year! 🎉 This year, we're switching things up with a "vertical concert" format, showcasing the full spectrum of our band program.

From the budding talents of our 5th graders to the harmonies of our middle and high school ensembles, and the electrifying beats of our jazz/rock band, it's a journey through our musical milestones! 🎶🌟

Join us for this special evening on Thursday, May 9th. Be prepared for collaborative performances, surprises, and unforgettable moments! 🎵✨

Our middle and high school choir students have been working hard on both sacred and secular tunes that describe the joys of life: love, family, friendship, nature... Spring is the perfect time to be grateful for all that life has to offer.
